Welcome to my channel. Here is a recent upcycling of a very red Indonesian Buffet. You can pick these up for around $50 to $100 and it takes around $40.00 in paints and products. I used plenty of elbow grease and the use of Power Sander to bring this up like new and it now resides in its new home in Forster NSW, Australia. I’m really proud of how this came up.

A couple of months in. Loads of prep, heaps of decisions, a few rookie errors and a shit tonne of money and we are well into this. I’m not gunna lie, this hasn’t been easy. But it hasn’t been a nightmare either. I’ve actually loved the manual work. But dislike the organizing and dealing with ordering and trades etc. I hate annoying people. But I find if you don’t keep the communication lines flowing. The work doesn’t keep flowing either and as the day “Time is money” We are actually a little further into this now. But it’s taken me a month to find time to make the video. But today after months of not having a washing machine and living in an RV in our driveway. It was time to catch up on the washing and I finally got it done. So the exciting progress we have again made will be in next weeks video. We have been busy tidying and packing up our old home. We have sold after one inspection and on the move quicker than expected. We are currently now into about week 3 of our renovation that is also going much quicker than expected. So it’s been a hectic time along with making huge decisions and juggling trades and services and 3 homes. I don’t recommend doing it this way… but that’s how the cards have been dealt. We got a quote to store our belongings which was way more than we wanted to spend so we are juggling all of our belongings within the renovation site. Thankfully it’s a large home and we have been able to do it. This is a bit of a snapshot of just how we are going about it. A big thankyou to our builder Dave from Carrigher Homes and his wonderful trades for keeping everything running so smoothly and a special thankyou to Trace from Custom Painting for going over and above her scope of duties to help us get through the big move, even as far as residing onsite and doing additional sorting and cleaning. You’re a Legend mate!!

The first week is done and dusted and we have made incredible progress. I’m so proud of myself for all the achievements I have made this week, both on and off the tools. Proof that if you set your mind to something and you have a passion for something. I’ve learnt an amazing amount both from trial and error and also working alongside my amazing builder Dave Carragher of @carragherhomes. So today marked Day 1 of Demolition of our family home. We purchased this home on 2001. So 20 years on we thought it was time for a complete makeover. This will either be a blast or a marriage breaker. LOL.

I Paint and restore furniture. But like most things I do. It’s blown out. Now I’m going to renovate our family home located in Lake MUNMORAH NSW Australia. Here is a look at the BEFORE views of the home the day we got the keys back from the real estate. The house had been tenanted for over 8 years. Although in great condition it’s in dire need of a spruce up. I’m going to renovate the home to include a new 6 x 6 furniture workshop and a new office, a brand new high end kitchen, new flooring and paint throughout and two refreshed bathrooms. This is my first time attempting anything like this and with the current price rise in just about everything to do with building I’m terrified. I’m creating this little series to make me accountable and keep me motivated. I’m no expert. Just a 52 year old wanting to give this a serious crack…. Will I survive? There’s no guarantee…. I’m sure availability of products, appliances (shortages due to the recent flooding in Queensland and that my husband and I can’t agree on most things it could make for interesting viewing. I’m just really starting up my business. And everyone needs some tags to say thank you to clients. Well it’s October 2021 and after what has been quite the year so far and losing 3 very dear family members. I decided it was time to start a YouTube channel and give myself a new focus. What’s one more thing to do right? PLUS…. I think Australia needs a few more of our own crafting channels. Whatever I search, there are always plenty of channels but all with International suppliers. So I’d like to showcase and maybe compare what is currently available on our home turf…. And of course some of my very own projects I’m working on, both upcycled and new. Crikey!!
